Delirious Band!!! Mission Brazil!!!

Tonight we played our first ever gig in Brasil and it was awesome. I could hardly hear myself sing over the multitudes of people chanting every song as though it was the last day before we go to heaven!
We have never heard such volume and rarely seen so much passion in a crowd it can only be explained as awesome.

This was the first of 5 nights on our first tour of Brasil and we have already fallen in love with the people and the culture. In the afternoon we took a bus up to the famous "Christ Redeemer" statue that overlooks the bay and sugar loaf mountain. It was hilarious as when we arrived thick cloud had descended on the mountain so much that we couldn't see a thing! Even standing at the base of the statue and you couldn't see further than his knees. "Blessed are those who believe but don't see", Jesus said, I was sure he was up there but only had the postcards to prove it! In fact we all photographed the postcards to say we'd actually been there, a fake, it was a brief moment of pharisaical behaviour! Down the mountain we came like Moses did, although he had seen God and we hadn't. Next time Lord. Next time Rio, and one more thing, Duran Duran were spot on.
